Myoglobin
The Myoglobin test measures the level of myoglobin in the blood. Myoglobin is a protein found in heart and skeletal muscle, and it is released into the bloodstream when muscle damage occurs. This test may assist in the early assessment of muscle injury, including possible heart-related conditions, and supports further clinical evaluation when needed.
The findings related to these particular clinical tests are a general guide and do not cover every possible scenario, this is because every patient is unique and these results only have true clinical significance when combined with the patient’s full medical history, a physical exam, and other diagnostic findings.
