Renal Function
Creatinine
Creatinine is a waste product generated from normal muscle metabolism and is cleared from the blood by the kidneys. It is a key indicator of kidney function and is commonly used to estimate glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Serial creatinine measurements help in the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of chronic kidney disease and other renal conditions.
The findings related to these particular clinical tests are a general guide and do not cover every possible scenario, this is because every patient is unique and these results only have true clinical significance when combined with the patient’s full medical history, a physical exam, and other diagnostic findings.
