Aspartate Transferase (AST)

AST is an enzyme found in several tissues, including the liver, heart, skeletal muscle, and kidneys. It is commonly measured alongside ALT to evaluate liver health and detect possible liver injury. Raised levels may also be associated with muscle damage or cardiac conditions.
