Rheumatoid factor (RF) is an antibody that may be present in the blood and is commonly measured to support the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune conditions. Elevated levels can also be seen in chronic infections and, in some cases, certain malignancies, so results should always be interpreted in a clinical context.

The findings related to these particular clinical tests are a general guide and do not cover every possible scenario, this is because every patient is unique and these results only have true clinical significance when combined with the patient’s full medical history, a physical exam, and other diagnostic findings.
